Final against Austria Vienna: our girls aim for cup sensation!
It's the game of the year. Our FC Red Bull Salzburg Women have sensationally stormed into the Austrian Women's Cup final in their debut season, and this Thursday they aim to cap their brilliant campaign. At the newly built Wiener Sport-Club Stadium, we'll face Austria Vienna, who are still undefeated in domestic competition this season. At 14:30 CEST Olivia Tschon, recently named Referee of the Season, will kick off the final.
Both teams have made the final in style. While our team cruised through to victory without conceding a goal against Alberschwende, Wacker Innsbruck, Blau-Weiß Linz/Kleinmünchen and LASK, the Vienna side eliminated three Bundesliga sides after their 15-0 win against Melk, most notably the regular champions from St. Pölten. This gives both clubs the chance to add a trophy to their cabinet from their women's team for the first time.
The recent 0-0 home draw at the beginning of May whets the appetite and shows that Dusan Pavlovic's team can more than hold their own against the current leaders of the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga, who have also enjoyed success on the European stage this year. The big match will be broadcast on ORF SPORT +.

We know, of course, that Austria Vienna have a lot of quality and experience. That's why they're the favourites going into this final. For us, it's not about being the underdog, but about making the most of an opportunity we've earned. At the same time, we know it will be a challenge. But we've shown that we can be competitive if we bring our attitude and our game plan to the pitch.
