When offensive tackle Isaiah World transferred to the Oregon Ducks after four seasons with the Nevada Wolfpack, expectations were high. He was rated as a five-star, the top-ranked offensive tackle and No. 2 player overall in the transfer portal. Adding him to the offensive line was huge for the Ducks.
And while he had a solid season, World didn't quite live up to expectations. Many preseason mock drafts had him going within the first two rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft, but he didn't quite play to that level during his lone campaign at Oregon.
Instead, he was seen as a Day 2, possible Day 3 player with a tremendous frame (6-foot-8, 318 pounds) and still some untapped potential. That was until it was revealed that World suffered a torn ACL in the Ducks' College Football Playoff Semifinal matchup against the Indiana Hoosiers, potentially sidelining him for the 2026 NFL season.
It's already begun to complicate World's draft stock, though he has already taken multiple top-30 pre-draft visits. He has a large draft range, but he's widely seen as a Day 3 pick. Analysis: The Philadelphia Eagles brought World in for a visit earlier in April, clearly showing interest in the former Oregon tackle. Currently, the Eagles are set at both tackle spots, with Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson operating the left and right tackle spots, respectively. But Johnson is 35 years old and has reportedly contemplated retirement for a couple years now, putting Philadelphia in the market for targeting his potential replacement. World is extremely talented and could be worth a late-round flier for the Eagles.

Analysis: Another team that World visited, the Chargers offensive line was very shaky a season ago. They had a lot of trouble protecting former Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert, with him having to battle through injuries to stay on the field. Both offensive tackles, Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater, missed the majority of last season with injuries. Both are All-Pro caliber players, but last season showed that talented depth has to be a priority this offseason. World could represent that as a player in the later rounds of the draft.

Analysis: Another team with a talented quarterback but struggled to protect him last season is the Houston Texans. They have a lot invested into starting tackles Aireontae Ersery and Braden Smith, but the depth behind them is lacking. Smith is currently on a two-year deal that he signed in March, and World could serve as his replacement once that deal is up. It would be an ideal scenario for the former Duck, as he'd have time to recover before stepping into a prominent role.

Analysis: With a new head coach in former Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, no one is safe along the Las Vegas Raiders' 2025 offensive line, which greatly underperformed. In a rebuilding situation but also trying to add talented young players to the roster, Las Vegas could be a good landing spot for World to not only recover but to develop with little pressure. Kolton Miller has the left tackle spot locked up, but World could slide to guard or command the right tackle spot with a couple years in the system.

Analysis: Left tackle Will Campbell's struggles in the 2026 postseason were well-documented and the Patriots are expected to stick with him at that spot moving forward, but it wouldn't be a surprise to draft a player like World in the later rounds. There's not a huge risk in doing so, as well as providing some insurance in the case that Campbell doesn't develop as their long-term left tackle.
