Fletcher Cox headlines Mississippi State M-Club Hall of Fame 2026 class
STARKVILLE — Mississippi State announced its eight-person 2026 class for the M-Club Hall of Fame on May 8.
The class consists of football players Fletcher Cox, Daniel Boyd and Johnthan Banks, men's basketball player Mario Austin, women's basketball player Kunshinge Sorrell-Howard, baseball player Ted Milton, women's golfer Kathe Kingston and volleyball player Aimee York Strickland.
They will be inducted on Sept. 25, one day before Mississippi State football's first SEC home game against Missouri.
Cox was a defensive lineman for the Bulldogs from 2009-11 after starring at Yazoo City. He was a 2011 All-American and then the No. 12 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. Cox played 12 seasons in the NFL, winning one Super Bowl and making six Pro Bowls.
Banks was teammates with Cox, playing at MSU from 2009-12. He is a Mississippi native too from East Webster. The cornerback had 16 career interceptions, tied for the program record. Banks was a second-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2013, playing five seasons in the NFL also for the Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears and Houston Texans.
Boyd played linebacker for Mississippi State from 1990-92 and was a two-time All-SEC selection.
Austin was a forward/center for the basketball team from 2001-03 and an All-American in the 2002-03 season. He was a second-round NBA draft pick by the Chicago Bulls, but played overseas from 2003-15 and never in the NBA.

Milton was an outfielder for the Bulldogs from 1969-72, winning the team's offensive MVP award in 1969 and 1970. The 1971 team was Mississippi State's first in program history to make the College World Series.
The class includes Fletcher Cox, Daniel Boyd, Johnthan Banks, Mario Austin, Kunshinge Sorrell-Howard, Ted Milton, Kathe Kingston, and Aimee York Strickland.
The induction ceremony is set for September 25, 2026.
The M-Club Hall of Fame honors outstanding athletes from Mississippi State University, recognizing their contributions to the school's athletic legacy.

Sorrell-Howard, who is from Booneville, was a guard for the Bulldogs from 1986-88 and is second in program history with a 20.8 career scoring average. She also holds the single-season record for steals.
Strickland played from 1989-92 and is in the top 10 in program history for numerous career records such as kills, solo blocks, attack attempts, service aces, attack percentage and digs.
Kingston was a three-time All-SEC golfer and won six individual tournaments from 1982-85, the second most in program history.
