Jon Sumrall continues to impress in his first offseason for the Florida Gators, having closed a tremendous top-15 transfer portal class and adding to an already top-10 2027 recruiting class.
The latest addition to the 2027 class for the Gators is the top overall rated center of the class, Peyton Miller, out of Anna, Texas. Miller ranks as a four-star recruit and is now the seventh recruit in the Gators class that ranks as a 4-star or higher.
He is the number 68 overall player according to the ESPN SC Next 300 rankings. He chose the Gators over SMU, Texas Tech, and Clemson. He comes in standing at 6’5 weighing 295 pounds. Miller was a 3-sport athlete in high school with track and field as well as wrestling.
With the commitment from Miller, to the seventh overall class in the country jumping up six spots and is the third-best class in the 2027 rankings in the SEC. Miller also marks the second offensive lineman commit for Sumrall, who landed the number one overall lineman and number three overall player, Maxwell Hiller.
The Gators have quietly been building an impressive offensive recruiting class overall, with seven of their 10 commitments coming on that side of the ball. These are the seven offensive recruits that the Gators have added so far:

Their three defensive recruits are made up of 4-Star cornerbacks, Amare Nugent and Aamaury Fountain, who the Gators flipped from South Carolina just this month. De’Voun Kendrick, a 3-Star defensive lineman, rounds out the commits thus far.
