Smack was included on the All-SEC Third Team as well as the Phil Steele Fourth Team SEC All-Conference, while being named a Lou Groza Semifinalist in 2025; he was also a Groza Award semifinalist in 2023. He was named an SEC Special Teams Player of the Week three times at Florida: twice in 2023 (Weeks 4 and 7) and once in 2024 (Week 12).
The former Gator participated in the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl, in which he sent a 57-yard attempt perfectly between the uprights for the West team.
Smack entered the draft as the top-rated placekicker based on his ability to deliver beyond the 50-yard mark without having to drive the ball with a lower trajectory, as well as his ability to cover and tackle on kickoffs. His skill set and consistency give him an above-average chance of making it in the NFL — especially given his ability to also punt in a pinch.
