The highly anticipated rematch between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather has been rescheduled to September 25, per Ring Magazineās Mike Coppinger. It will be hosted at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will air on Netflix.
The bout was initially scheduled for September 19 and was going to be held at The Sphere. After several issues with securing the spot, The Sphere then booked an Eagles concert, putting the boxing rematch in jeopardy.
Mayweather and Pacquiao initially fought on May 2, 2015. At the time, Mayweather was 47-0 in his professional boxing career and picked up the unanimous victory 118-110, 116-112, 116-112. The loss dropped Pacquiao to 57-6-2 in his career.
As with most big-time boxing matches, fans clamored for a rematch. In February 2026, Netflix announced that the long-awaited second clash between Pacquiao and Mayweather would take place in September.
Since the rematch was announced, concrete plans were delayed because Mayweather had been dealing with legal issues. There were also disputes overĀ whetherthe fight would be professional or an exhibition. If it were a professional bout, Mayweatherās perfect 50-0 record would be in jeopardy.
Since retiring in 2017, Mayweather has had several exhibition fights that have not counted toward his record but have generated hefty paydays.
Pacquiao stopped boxing in 2021, but finally returned to the ring in 2025. His match against Mario Barrios was ruled a majority draw, and he hasnāt boxed since. Pacquiao said after his bout with Barrios that he would be fighting in January 2026, but that didnāt come to fruition with all eyes now on the rematch with Mayweather.
The fight is scheduled for September 25.
