The Philadelphia Flyers are enjoying the start to this postseason.

If their playoff run continues for a while, they won't have to make a decision on Trevor Zegras yet.

Eventually, Zegras will come to the forefront.

The talented forward is going to be a restricted free agent this offseason. The Flyers will have some control over where he ends up, but they'll still have to reach a contract agreement with him.

Most likely, the Flyers and Zegras will reach a positive conclusion. But nothing is a sure thing until it happens.

There are at least a few questions to be answered, but Matt Larkin of Daily Faceoff writes in a new article that he thinks a deal will get done eventually.

"Is Zegras a winger or a center? He’s spent time in both spots this season, and how the Flyers perceive him might determine how much money and term he gets," Larkin writes. "My colleague Antony Di Marco expects Zegras to score a long-term contract just as fellow Flyers newcomer Christian Dvorak did this season. Zegras has made the Flyers more dynamic, and he’s been a point-per-gamer early this postseason centering the first line, but coach Rick Tocchet is also playing Zegras south of 15 minutes per night. Still, he’s had a resurgent season for a resurgent team, showing versatility by playing multiple positions, and Di Marco, who was bang-on about the Dvorak deal, projected an AAV of $7.5 million to $8.5 million for Zegras last month."
