Vitor Pereira has praised Morgan Gibbs-White for leading by example as Nottingham Forest fight against relegation.
Gibbs-White scored the first hat-trick of his club career to help Forest recover from a goal down and beat Burnley. The midfielderâs treble turned the game around at the City Ground, after Zian Flemmingâs opener for the visitors.
Gibbs-Whiteâs goals, and a fourth from Igor Jesus in stoppage time, secured a 4-1 win that moves Forest five points clear of the Premier Leagueâs relegation places.
Pereira praised Gibbs-White as a true leader, highlighting his leadership through performances and not words. The 26-year-old has been in terrific form with six goals in his last six league appearances.
âHe is leading by example. I know a lot of [captains] that speak and speak but it proves nothing,â the Forest boss said to Sky Sports.
âI didnât feel he was his best level in the first half but he did fantastic in the second half.
âEven when we are in bad moments we feel the energy from supporters and we create spirit in the team to face problems. The second half was a big example that we are alive and ready to fight until the last game to reach our target.â
