Landon Sim, a former sixth-round draft pick by the St. Louis Blues, has signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs, effective in the 2026-27 season. He has been performing in the ECHL and AHL after joining the Maple Leafs organization this summer.
Former 2022 sixth-round draft pick (184th overall) of the St. Louis Blues, Landon Sim, has signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
His entry-level contract will kick in during the 2026-27 season.
Sim joined the Maple Leafs in the summer, signing a minor league contract. He started the season with the Cincinnati Cyclones in the ECHL, where he notched two goals and six points in 18 games. He then earned a call-up to the Toronto Marlies in the AHL, where he’s posted three goals in 13 games.
Prior to joining the Maple Leafs organization, Sim spent four years with the London Knights in the OHL.
Standing 5-foot-10, 166 pounds, the 21-year-old is an energetic forward who brings physical upside to any lineup. He can show flashes of skill and creativity with the puck, but Sim shines as a two-way force.
Although the Blues originally drafted Sim, the two parties did not agree to an entry-level deal, which provided Sim the freedom to sign with any team of his choosing. He ultimately landed with the Maple Leafs.
