Former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry raves about the Cleveland Browns' 2026 NFL Draft class.
"Cleveland has been dying for a winning football team since I (was) there," said former Browns' fan favorite Jarvis Landry on his podcast, 4th and South, with his cohost Leonard Fournette.
These two must have discovered that anytime they talk about the Browns, they get great ratings because Cleveland seems to be a weekly headlining topic on the show. Frankly, Browns fans love to hear Landry's opinion on the team because he was one of the main reasons that Cleveland turned their culture around when he was here.
On this week's episode, Landry was discussing Cleveland's draft, and to my surprise, he wasn't talking about the two wide receivers that the Browns drafted; he was talking about the offensive tackle that they grabbed with the ninth overall pick.
The Browns selected Spencer Fano with their first selection in the draft after some masterful maneuvering around the top of the first round. Cleveland nabbed Fano and grabbed two additional draft picks in the process. It was the worst-kept secret in all of football that the Browns were going to go with a tackle and a wide receiver in the draft.
They got their top offensive lineman target and two of their top five wide receiver targets to boot. They dominated the draft and caught the attention of Landry.
Landry went on to say that no quarterback can have success if the guys in front of them aren't doing their job. For many reasons, the Browns' offense and offensive line were a disaster in Kevin Stefanski's final two years in Cleveland, specifically last year.
It basically gave each of the quarterbacks, Deshaun Watson, , and , no real opportunity to succeed. Landry went on to list off all of Fano's accomplishments in his final year at Utah and then dropped the hammer. He challenged both Sanders and Watson to prove who deserves to be the quarterback.

Those two have an incredibly important season in front of them. Watson is fighting for his football life, and in some ways, so is Sanders. Whoever wins the job desperately needs to find some success this season, and the Cleveland fanbase needs it.
There will be no excuses this year. The offensive line is improved even before the draft, the wide receiver room is vastly improved, the running back room is health yand a year older, and the tight end room is improved as well. The tools are there, but which quarterback will take advantage of them?
It's only a matter of time until we have our answer.
