Jaylen Brown's potential trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo has been dismissed by former Celtics guard Jeff Teague. Teague argues that trading Brown, who is coming off a career year, for Giannis, who has limited years left, doesn't make sense for Boston.

In recent days, Jaylen Brown has become somewhat of a hot topic among Boston Celtics fans. He becomes eligible for a contract extension later this summer, is coming off a career year, and has been vocal about what this past season has meant to him. However, a recent comment from Tracy McGrady, regarding Brown potentially being frustrated with the Celtics organization, has led to multiple trade discussions involving the All-Star forward.
The most discussed move would be flipping Brown for Giannis Antetokounmpo in a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks. During a recent episode of the "Club 520" podcast, former Celtics guard Jeff Teague shut down the idea of trading Brown for Giannis.
"You've only got Giannis for a certain amount of time, right? What do you got? About four, five, six years left?" Teague said. "Cool. JT (Jayson Tatum) is coming off an Achilles injury. We didn't see the best version of JT. We literally saw the best version of Jaylen Brown. I'm not giving the best version of Jaylen Brown for Giannis. ...Milwaukee's not going to just do a player-for-player trade (either). 'We're trading an MVP, no disrespect, he's (Brown) a Finals MVP, but that ain't going to match up."
Brown has spent his entire career in Boston. He's won a championship with the franchise and was their primary option en route to a second seed in the Eastern Conference this season. It's hard to envision Boston parting ways with Brown unless he explicitly requests a move.

Furthermore, if Brown does find himself on the trade block, Stevens would likely cast a wide-reaching net, meaning Giannis wouldn't be the guaranteed target. Unfortunately, Celtics fans will likely be subjected to trade conjecture involving Brown for the foreseeable future; after all, his trade value will never be higher than it is right now.
