A former Clemson Tigers player announced his latest commitment in the NCAA transfer portal over the weekend.
Center Christian Reeves, who saw action in 29 games during Tigers' 2024-25 season, committed to the Kansas Jayhawks late Friday. Kansas will be the fourth school in as many seasons for the 7-foot-2 center, who spent last season at College of Charleston in the CAA.
Reeves left Clemson after averaging just 5.1 minutes a night in the Tigers' 2024-25 run, which saw the team win a school record 18 ACC games in the regular season. Clemson went 27-5 overall in the regular season and was a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament but fell to Will Wade and McNeese State in a first-round NCAA Tournament upset.
Kansas will be the second college basketball blue-blood program Reeves has played for. A three-star recruit from Oak Hill Academy in Virginia, Reeves began his career at Duke after committing to the Blue Devils in the class of 2022 as part of coach Jon Scheyer's first recruiting class.
Reeves played in 31 games last season at Charleston, making 18 starts. He averaged 11.1 points per game to go with 7.8 rebounds and was a 65.4 percent shooter from the field.
