Former Dodger Draws Heat for Criticizing NYC Mayor, Embracing Trump

Arencibia. Despite having the biggest total payroll in baseball, the Mets are 16-25, 12.5 games out of the National League East lead.

The Mets aren’t in an 86-year championship drought, but they did have a 12-game losing streak last month. “I hate saying it, but at the end of the day, the Mets are going to Met and I think I’m allowed to kind of say that because I bled orange and blue for eight years, made it to the World Series with them and just kind of disappointed to see who they’re inviting into their clubhouse and be like just the the lack of success that they’re having,” Syndergaard said. “This doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. We have a huge payroll and it’s not a great dividends for them.”
