Former Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner will end up taking up a career as a manager, according to his wife, Kourtney Turner.
Justin Turner is currently playing professional baseball in Mexico, but at 40, his playing days are certainly coming to an end.
He could end up returning to MLB if he impresses and a team has a need in the infield or as a designated hitter, though Turner is likely looking at a return to the majors as a coach or front-office figure.
His wife, Kourtney, has made it clear that Justin could indeed explore that possibility.

Turner, despite not hitting great in the tail end of his career, stuck around the majors as a valuable locker room presence who could help mentor younger players.
Naturally, due to his help in the dugout, it does make sense that he would take on the skipper role.
“I do. I think it will be more nerve-wracking than his playing days for me, though, because I think it’s a tough job,” Kortney Turner said on Foul Territory.
“Because if things are going well, not everyone looks to the manager. But then if there’s a decision that doesn’t pan out, I think it falls back on the manager.
“So I’ll have to stay off Twitter and all the comments for that one. I think he has such a good understanding of the game. I think he has good feel. I think he does a really good job.
“I’m always in awe when he goes to these new teams. And then I see him in the dugout the first or the second game of the season, and he’s already meshing so well.
“And he just has that ability to reach, I think, every single guy there. And I think that’s what makes him so special.”
Back in 2023, Justin Turner expressed an interest in taking a coaching role with an MLB team. Over the years, he has been someone whom fans think can be the next Dodgers manager.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen when my playing days are over,” Turner said to Dodgers Nation.
“I assume that Kourtney’s not gonna want me in the house all day and want me to do something in the baseball world and coaching is definitely an option.”
While Dave Roberts has the job as long as he wants it, there will need to be a new person at the helm. Turner has time to work his way up and gain coaching experience before taking on a role, possibly in LA.
