Former La Masia winger linked with Barcelona return wanted by several clubs
With FC Barcelona unsure about keeping Marcus Rashford at the club beyond this season, they are keeping an eye on left-wingers in the market.
One of the options on the Catalans’ radar happens to be former La Masia talent, Jan Virgili.
After enjoying a brilliant campaign at the youth and reserve level last term, the 19-year-old starlet left Barça for RCD Mallorca in the summer of 2025.
The Spaniard’s move to Palma has worked out well, as he has developed nicely, initially under Jagoba Arrasate and now Martin Demichelis, leading to talks of a potential return home to Catalonia.
Now, according to SPORT, several clubs across Europe are closely monitoring Virgili heading into the summer transfer window.
FC Barcelona is considering Jan Virgili as a potential left-wing option due to uncertainty about Marcus Rashford's future at the club.
Several clubs are reportedly interested in Jan Virgili, who has impressed since leaving Barcelona for RCD Mallorca.

So far in his debut La Liga season, the 19-year-old winger has managed two goals and six assists from 29 matches. And his performances have not gone unnoticed.
Several important European clubs are tracking the Mallorca winger’s situation. Even though he remains under contract until June 2030, interest around him continues to grow.
Clubs competing for Champions League places in Serie A are said to be interested, although financial limitations within Italian football could complicate any move.
In addition, a Premier League club has also made enquiries regarding his availability.

When Virgili left Barcelona, the Catalan club sold 60% of his rights while keeping the possibility of receiving 40% from any future transfer fee.
And even though there have been talks about re-signing him, the report states that Barcelona have not yet clearly identified the left-winger profile they are searching for once Marcus Rashford’s loan spell comes to an end.
The England international’s continuity itself is not completely ruled out at this point, and in case he is signed permanently, or on another loan deal, Virgili’s return will be off the table.
However, if he does leave Mallorca, the Catalans would benefit financially by receiving 40% of any transfer fee.
