Kyla Oldacre, former Texas Longhorns standout, has signed a training camp contract with the Dallas Wings. The Ohio native aims to secure a roster spot in the WNBA after a successful college career, including scoring over 1,000 points and achieving six double-doubles as a senior.
After an impressive career with the Texas Longhorns, Kyla Oldacre is getting her shot in the WNBA. On Tuesday, the Ohio native signed a training camp contract with the Dallas Wings. While Oldacre will have to fight for a roster spot, she brings an impressive resume to the table as she looks to take advantage of her latest opportunity.
During her time in the burnt orange, Oldacre scored 1,000 points while shooting 58 percent from the field. She also made an impact on the boards with 681 rebounds. While the Longhorns fell two wins short of winning a national title just a few weeks ago, Oldacre was one of the bright spots throughout a successful 2025-2026 campaign on the Forty Acres.
As Oldacre begins the next chapter of her basketball career, the William Mason High Alum is coming off her best season as a Longhorn. Oldacre scored a career-high 408 points and added six double-doubles to her resume as a senior. Regardless of the opponent, the talented center made the most of her playing time.
During the Longhorns' tournament run, the Ohio native showed why she was one of the best in the country at her position. In five games, Oldacre scored 52 points and recorded 33 rebounds. She also made an impact on defense with nine steals and five blocks. Her stellar play drew national attention and is partly why the Wings are willing to give her a look.
Over the next few weeks, Oldacre will be a player to watch as she fights for a roster spot. If she can replicate her play with the Longhorns, then it could be hard for Dallas to turn her away. Regardless of what the Wings coaching staff decides, Oldacre has a bright future in front of her.
