Derek Fisher, the former Lakers point guard and current television analyst, is getting a new platform in Los Angeles.
Fisher will team up with catcher-turned-broadcaster Cody Decker as the co-hosts of a morning show on a soon-to-be-launched sports-talk radio channel, “The Fan” 97.1-FM.
The first-ever FM all-sports station in Los Angeles announced its full slate of weekday programming on May 6, 12 days ahead of its first day on air.

“Derek and Decker” will be the first voices over the air at 6 a.m. on May 18, and hold down the 6-10 morning commute time slot on the station.
While they played different sports professionally, Decker and Fisher have plenty of media experience since retiring.
Fisher is currently an analyst on Spectrum SportsNet, the Lakers’ regional network in Southern California. He’s also worked as a game analyst on NBC since the network obtained NBA rights in 2025.
Fisher played in eight NBA Finals (seven with the Lakers, one with the Oklahoma City Thunder) during 18 seasons in the league.

Decker was the cohost of a sports-talk show on SiriusXM until last year, when he was replaced by Stephen A. Smith. Decker played eight games for the Padres in 2015 amid an 11-year career in professional baseball.
The 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. time slot will go to former NFL safety Brock Vereen and Alex Curry (Fox Sports, FS1).
The 2 to 6 p.m. drive time slot belongs to “D-Mac & Reiter” — longtime Dodgers Nation host Doug McKain and Bill Reiter.
