Sims reportedly had an offer to participate in the Los Angeles Chargers rookie minicamp but chose the Giants. He spent last weekend with the Seattle Seahawks after going undrafted in the 2026 draft.
Sims played for three schools in six years in his college career. He played at Georgia Tech for three seasons before transferring to Nebraska in 2023. After losing his starting job with the Huskers, he left the team and spent his last two college seasons with Arizona State.
In 43 career games, he threw for 6,175 yards, 41 touchdowns, and 35 interceptions. He also ran for 1,978 yards in his career with 18 touchdowns and an average of 5.4 yards per carry.
Sims has always had the athletic ability and switching to wide receiver may be a better fit for his future career. It will be interesting to see where this experiment goes and which team decides to take a chance on a developmental player.
