Ted Ginn Jr., the current head coach of the United Football League's Columbus Aviators, was arrested in Dallas, Texas for DUI on Saturday. His arrest comes one day before his team's Week 3 matchup against the Dallas Renegades.
Ginn, who began his NFL career as a first-round pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2007, played three seasons in Carolina. He totaled 134 catches for 2,047 yards and 19 touchdowns over 47 outings with the Panthers, and was the team's second-leading receiver from their Super Bowl 50 run in 2015.
The Aviators lost their first two games under Ginn to begin the campaign. Offensive coordinator Todd Haley, who spent over two decades in the NFL, is expected to assume head-coaching duties for Columbus tomorrow—which also happens to be Ginn's 41st birthday.
