Criminal charges against former Tennessee Titans cornerback L'Jarius Sneed have been dismissed, according to court documents obtained by The Tennessean.
A Texas grand jury indicted Sneed in November 2025 for failure to report a felony stemming from a December 2024 incident in suburban Dallas. Failure to report a felony is a Class A misdemeanor in Texas.
Sneed was originally sued by a Texas man who said shots were fired at him from a Lamborghini at a car dealership in Carrolton, Texas. Security footage later obtained by the Associated Press showed Sneed driving the car minutes before the alleged shooting. Tekonzae Williams, an associate of Sneed, was indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The charges against Sneed were dropped on May 1.
Sneed reacted on social media, writing on X that "the weight is finally off & tell that devil I'm coming back for everything he tried to still."
The Titans acquired Sneed in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs in March 2024 and signed him to a four-year, $76.4 million extension, making him one of the 10 highest-paid cornerbacks in the NFL. But the contract quickly became disastrous, as Sneed missed 12 games in 2024 and 10 games last season due to injuries.
Sneed was released in March after playing in only 12 games over two years, finishing his Titans tenure with 49 tackles, three pass breakups and no interceptions.
