No. 1 seed Detroit defeated No. 8 seed Orlando, 116-94, Sunday in Game 7 of the NBA Eastern Conference playoffs first round at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
Former Vol and rookie Chaz Lanier made his NBA playoffs debut for the Pistons in Game 7. He played one minute and scored two points, converting his only field goal attempt.
Former VolĀ Tobias HarrisĀ started and played 36 minutes for the Pistons. He totaled 30 points, nine rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block. Harris converted 11-of-18 field goal attempts, 5-of-7 three-point attempts and 3-of-3 free throw attempts.
Harris played for the Vols during the 2010-11 season. He was selected in the first round of theĀ 2011 NBA draft by the Bobcats (No. 19 overall). In his NBA career, Harris has played for Milwaukee (2011-13), Orlando (2013-16), Detroit (2016-18, 2024-26), the Clippers (2018-19) and Philadelphia (2019-24).
Lanier was selected in the second round of the 2025 NBA draft by Detroit (No. 37 overall). He played at Tennessee during the 2024-25 season.
The Pistons will next play Tuesday versus No. 4 seed Cleveland in the second round of the NBA playoffs. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. EDT at Little Caesars Arena (NBC).
