The Washington cornerback was drafted in the third round of the NFL Draft on Friday by the Cincinnati Bengals with the No. 72 overall selection.
Davis had 19 tackles, 5 pass deflections, and 2 interceptions in his lone season at Washington after transferring in from Arizona. Originally recruited by Jedd Fisch in Tucson, Davis entered the transfer portal after 2023 but ultimately stayed in Arizona for one year before reuniting with Fisch on Montlake for the 2025 season.
In four seasons between Arizona and Washington, Davis recorded 95 tackles, including 3.5 for loss, with 28 pass deflections and 3 interceptions. His stock rose exponentially after February's NFL Combine, where he measured in at nearly 6-foot-4 and ran a 4.41 40-yard dash.
Touted as a potential first-round pick before the season, Davis ultimately missed six games at Washington due to rib and hamstring injuries. But his impact when on the field was noticeable, and the combination of him and Ephesians Prysock made things difficult for opposing quarterbacks due to their overwhelming length on the boundary.
The Athletic's Dane Brugler had this to say about Davis in his draft guide, The Beast: "Davis has truly unique measurables for a cornerback, which work against him at times, but his size-speed traits and ball skills are worth the gamble. Though he has tools for press-man teams, he projects best as a zone corner in Cover 3 looks."
Davis will now join Husky alum Drew Sample in Cincinnati. Sample is a tight end for the Bengals.
