âMandaquit is a throwback true point guard who excels with his ability to run a team,â 247Sportsâ Adam Finkelstein wrote ahead of Mandaquitâs freshman season at Washington. âHe isnât going to wow anyone with dynamic explosiveness or individual offense, but makes his mark with his reliability, acumen for the game, and winning intangibles.â
At Washington, Mandaquit played 22 games before suffering a season-ending foot injury. He scored a career-high 15 points in UWâs home loss to Michigan on Jan. 14. Mandaquit scored double figures in four total games.
