The Portland Fire are the newest team in the WNBA, which continues to expand at a rapid rate. Williams, who finished her career at UConn, has a chance to make an immediate impact in Portland.
The Brooklyn, NY, native started 30 games as a freshman for the Badgers during the 2022-23 season. In her four-year career she appeared in 129 games and started all but two of those.
Williams, who averaged a career high 19.2 points per game in 2024-25, left Wisconsin to join the Huskies' pursuit of another national championship. They came up short in that regard, as she averaged just 17.4 minutes per game as a 38-game starter.
Keep in mind, Williams averaged at least 30.0 minutes per game in her last two seasons with the Badgers. She finished the 2025-26 season averaging just 6.7 points per game along with 4.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.3 blocks.
