On June 27, four-star safety Isala Aisa Wily-Ava will announce his commitment, choosing between Arizona State, Michigan, and Washington. The Huskies are considered the favorites to secure his pledge.
Saturday, June 27, will be a big day for the Washington Huskies on the recruiting trail.
With four-star offensive lineman DaJohn Yarborough already set to announce his commitment that day, Jedd Fisch's coaching staff will also be keeping a close eye on four-star safety Isala Aisa Wily-Ava, who will also be revealing his pledge that day.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound product of St. John Bosco High School in Southern California, who is ranked as the No. 410 overall prospect and No. 38 safety in the 2027 class by the 247Sports Composite, has whittled his list of 29 offers down to three, and will choose between Arizona State, Michigan, and the Huskies. While the Sun Devils are making a substantial push, UW has been considered the favorite to land his services for a long time.
The Huskies have hosted Wily-Ava on a handful of unofficial visits over the last year, including most recently for Junior Day in early March, and hold multiple crystal balls to reel in his services, which would be a big win for safeties coach Taylor Mays and defensive coordinator Ryan Walters.
"He has a rare combination of range, ball skills, instincts, and hitting ability," former 247Sports analyst Greg Biggins wrote in his evaluation. "He’s a big-framed 6-2.5, 195 pounds, and could easily grow into a linebacker by the time he hits college. Has a lean frame and will be able to add a ton of good weight in the coming years. He’s a physical player, a very good open field tackler, and gets downhill and flies off the hash to make a play. Wily-Ava is strong in space and an excellent open field tackler. Shows good timing and closing speed as a blitzer and has a really nice all-around game."
Washington, which holds just one pledge in the secondary from three-star cornerback Maurice Williams, will get the first shot to impress him on an official visit on June 5, before he heads to Arizona State on June 12, and Michigan on June 19.
