Francis Ngannou is preparing for his return to MMA later this month, stepping back into the cage on MVP’s Netflix card. The event is headlined by Ronda Rousey against Gina Carano.
He is set to face Philipe Lins, marking his first MMA appearance since his bout with Renan Ferreira in PFL back in October 2024.
At the same time, two of Ngannou’s former boxing opponents have agreed to meet later this year. Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua’s long-awaited clash is expected to happen from October on and it has prompted Ngannou to share his expectations.

Ngannou believes the fight is finely balanced but sees different paths to victory for each man. His view depends heavily on how the contest unfolds over time.
‘The Predator’ told Sky Sports: “Well, again, at this level, I think it’s very close. Everybody can win. And then it depends on how the fight goes.”
He explained that Fury’s advantage becomes clearer if the bout extends the full distance, while Joshua’s opportunity lies earlier.
“I think if it’s going to be a decision win, I will pick Fury. And then if it’s like a knockout, I think Joshua has a chance early in the round.
“But as far as the fight goes, it’s going to be way off in Fury’s favor,” he concluded.
Ngannou’s perspective carries weight given his direct experience in the ring with both men. He has faced each under very different circumstances.
Joshua stopped him in the second round, ending their fight emphatically.
