BOSTON ā Fraser Minten was named the 2025-26 NESN 7th Player Award winner on Tuesday.
NESNās Judd Sirott presented Minten with the award during a pregame ceremony ahead of the Bruinsā 82nd game of the season.
The Bruins acquired the Vancouver, BC, native at the 2025 trade deadline from the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Brandon Carlo trade, and the 21-year-old earned a spot on the roster at training camp.
He settled in as the third-line center and rotated around linemates throughout the season. Earlier in the season, he found success with Tanner Jeannot and Mark Kastelic on his wing.
He also moved to the first line, playing alongside David Pastrnak and Marat Khusnutdinov on the kidsā line.
But then the kidsā line took on a new meaning on Sunday in Columbus, where Minten joined Khusnutdinov and James Hagens, forming a U23 line in the Bruinsā penultimate game. The line stayed together for the Bruinsā last game of the season on Tuesday.
Minten has scored 17 goals and picked up 34 points this season, and he leads all forwards on the team with a plus-20 rating. He is ranked seventh in rookie scoring across the NHL.
Two of his 17 goals have been overtime winners, tied for the team lead.
Minten added a shootout winner to snap the Bruinsā seven-game road losing streak in March.
He has also laid out 139 hits, the fifth most on the Bruinsā roster.
The 7th Player Award is an annual fan vote to recognize the unsung hero of the Bruins. Minten beat out Jonathan Aspirot, Mark Kastelic, and Marat Khusnutdinov for the award.
He joins the likes of David Pastrnak, Morgan Geekie, Pavel Zacha, Brad Marchand, Jeremy Swayman, Tim Thomas, and Tuukka Rask as 7th Player Award winners.
