Former Barcelona, Arsenal, and Chelsea player Emmanuel Petit spoke to RMC Sport via MARCA in a recent interview where he was asked about the reason for Real Madridās downfall over the past few seasons.
He linked a major part of the downfall to Kylian Mbappeās arrival, albeit not to the player himself but the atmosphere change after he arrived.
āItās not just Mbappeās fault, but his arrival has filled the dressing room with selfishness. Itās a fiasco,ā he said.

Correlating Real Madridās downfall with PSGās rise and how Mbappeās transfer is directly linked to the same, Petit said,
āSince PSG have been playing as a team, they are phenomenal. They are united like the fingers of one hand.ā
The former Barcelona player then opened up on Real Madridās exit from the UEFA Champions League earlier in the week and explained who he blamed for the result.
āIf anyone is to blame, itās Camavinga. His foul was catastrophic,ā he said, lashing out at the midfielderās carelessness.
When asked if the Frenchmanās red card was deserved or if Real Madrid were right to be frustrated at the refereeing, he said,
