Portsmouth High School freshman Cam Stacy hit a two-run single in the seventh inning, leading his team to a 10-9 victory over Londonderry after trailing 9-8. This was Stacy's first varsity hit.
PORTSMOUTH — Portsmouth High School freshman Cam Stacy, with his team trailing 9-8, struck out in the bottom of the sixth inning of Friday's Division I baseball game against Londonderry.
Stacy got another chance in the seventh, and delivered a two-out, two-run single, his first varsity hit, to right field, scoring Hugh Herter and Jackson Hooper as Portsmouth rallied for a 10-9 win.

Hooper (single) and Herter (walk) advanced to second and third, respectively, and Nate Delaney was intentionally walked to load the bases and bring Stacy to the plate.
"For (Londonderry) to intentionally walk Nate to get to Cam, and for him to be able to pick us all up for his first varsity hit, I'm sure it's something he'll remember for a little bit," Portsmouth head coach Tim Hopley said. "And hopefully it's a springboard, not only for (Stacy), but for us to continue to do some good things and have some positive results come from it."
Portsmouth is now 1-2 on the season.
The Clippers scored six runs in the sixth to come to within one run of the Lancers.
"It's been a week," Hopley said. "There's just a lot of things that happened this week for a young and inexperienced team ... tonight we're really just happy for the guys. We finally got the big hit that we needed."
Portsmouth senior Zavier Lampert had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs, while Max Herter, Hooper, and Jake Poulin all had two hits. Delaney and Stacy both had two RBIs, and Max Herter and Hugh Herter each had one.
Hooper got the win on the mound, allowing one hit and striking out one in the final 1.1 innings.
Winnacunnet 4

Bryce Pinsonnault's two-run double in the first gave Winnacunnet a 2-0 lead. Harvey Reynoso had two hits and scored a run, while Braeden O'Hara had a triple and drew a bases-loaded walk. Ethan Roy added an RBI double for the Warriors, while Ryan Guiffre, Sean Griffin and Nick Bosco all had one hit.
Reynoso pitched the seventh, allowing an unearned run and getting the save.

BEDFORD - Bedford's five-run sixth inning ended this Division I game with the 10-run rule. The Bulldogs broke a scoreless tie with three runs in the fourth and two in the fifth.
Nolan Engler got Exeter's lone hit.

MERRIMACK - The Tomahawks scored the game's only run in the seventh inning as Spaulding fell to 2-1 with this Division I loss.
Spaulding starter Carter Hanson struck out six over 4.2 innings. Colby Lambert had three of Spaulding's four hits.

DURHAM - Owen Jacques allowed two hits over four innings, striking out three and earning this Division II win for Oyster River.
Jacques also had two hits, both doubles, drove in one, and scored one. Teammates Nolan Swiesz and Amos Winans both had two hits.

MILFORD - Ryan Gould had two hits and three RBIs, and Brandon Skowron and Conall Ciaschini both had two RBIs as St. Thomas Aquinas improved to 3-0 with this Division II win.
The Saints scored three runs in the first inning, four in the fifth, and five in the sixth. Beckett Farrand, Jacob Bufano and Bailintyn White combined on the two-hitter for the Saints. Finn Perry added two hits and two runs scored in the win.

MANCHESTER - Jackson Dumont and Ephraim Yoder each had a hit for Somersworth (2-1) in this Division III loss. Yoder's RBI drove in Max Dubois for the Hilltoppers' lone run.

EXETER - Sophomore Jill Ryan hit a two-run, one-out walk-off homer over the center field fence as Exeter improved to 1-1 with this Division I win.
"Girls stepped up and made some plays today when we needed them," Exeter head coach Kristen Morissette said. "Great team win, happy for the girls after a tough loss on Tuesday."
Alexa Papakonstantis reached on an infield error to start the Exeter seventh. Bedford scored one run in the seventh inning to break a 6-6 tie.
Mack Clark and Allie Patten both had two hits for the Blue Hawks. Clark scored three runs, and Lillian Kelley had a hit and an RBI. Landyn Theberge got the win in relief.

LONDONDERRY - Kora Douglass had the lone hit for Portsmouth in its Division I loss. Abby Craig scored Portsmouth's lone run in the fifth inning.

Sophomore Geffin Adorian added three goals and two assists for the Green Wave, while junior Sylas Brown had two goals and one assist. Senior Porter Gray (two goals), sophomore Parker Ketcham (goal, assist), freshman Danny Toland (goal) and Finn Joyce (assist) all figured in the scoring.
Dover junior Owen Wood won 16 face-offs, and senior goalie Danny Bretz had 14 saves.
