FSU quarterback target commits to Big 12 program

The Florida State Seminoles are still looking for the quarterback of their 2027 recruiting class, something that just got even tougher with one target now headed to a Big 12 program.
Andre Adams, a four-star quarterback from Antioch, Tennessee, committed to Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes on Tuesday. He picked them over the Seminoles, Kentucky Wildcats, and Virginia Tech Hokies.
He was a newer target for FSU, who extended him a scholarship offer on Feb. 9. He returned for an unofficial visit on March 30. That was his only visit to Tallahassee, and they always seemed to be on the outside looking in on his recruitment.
Adams is ranked as the No. 173 overall player and No. 15 quarterback in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 8 player from Tennessee.
He had an excellent junior season at Antioch High School, leading them to a 10-2 record and a spot in the playoffs. He completed 71.0% of his passes for 3,418 yards, 35 touchdowns, and one interception in 11 games. He also carried the ball 100 times for 855 yards and 13 more touchdowns.
He is the latest quarterback who visited FSU during the spring to commit elsewhere, joining Israel Abrams (Miami) and Jake Newrot (Kentucky). Their top remaining target is Wonderful Monds IV, a four-star prospect from Vero Beach, Florida, who is also considering the Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
