FSU to play Georgia Tech in 2026 ACC Softball Tournament

The FSU Seminoles will play the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the ACC Softball Tournament on Thursday. The Seminoles are the No. 1 seed and are looking to win their first conference tournament since 2023.

It will be Florida State's (46-8) first game after they earned a bye into the quarterfinal round after winning the regular season championship. Georgia Tech had to beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Wednesday to keep its season alive. They did so emphatically, winning 13-3 in five innings as the No. 9 seed.

Addison Leschber had an excellent game, going 2-5 with a home run and a double to drive in five runs. Alyssa Willier drove in three runs with a homer in the fourth to put the run-rule in play. Six of their nine hits went for extra bases. They are 29-26 on the season.

FSU and Georgia Tech played in late April, with the Seminoles sweeping the series in Atlanta. They won on Friday 4-0, with Jazzy Francik throwing a no-hitter. They won 4-3 on Saturday and 8-5 on Sunday in extra innings. The Seminoles are 75-26 against Georgia Tech all-time, winning their last 29 meetings.

The game is set to start at 11 a.m. ET in Charlottesville, Virginia. The game will be on the ACC Network.
