The worldâs largest martial arts organization returns to Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, this Friday, April 24, and fans tuning in live in Asia primetime can expect a stacked night of martial arts action.
ONE Friday Fights 151 features nine bouts across Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA, with each athlete on the card hunting a coveted US$100,000 contract and spot on ONEâs global roster.
In the main event, surging Thai standout Panpadej NF Looksuan puts his five-fight winning streak on the line against undefeated British-Pakistani fighter Ubaid Hussain in a flyweight Muay Thai showdown.
The 24-year-old Panpadej comes from a tribe in Chiang Mai and was bullied as a child before turning to Muay Thai at 12. He moved to Bangkok at 15 with a point to prove, quit during the pandemic, and has since gone 25-0 in his comeback. The run has established him as one of the most exciting fighters in the weekly series.
He heads into Friday fresh off a main event victory against Apiwat Sor Somnuk, looking to keep his momentum rolling against the most dangerous challenge of his career.
Standing across from him is the 20-year-old Hussain, who arrives with a perfect 14-0 professional record and a winning streak that includes seven knockouts. Nicknamed âBad,â the Leeds-born Kiatphontip product began training at 8 years old when his mother brought him to the gym.
He went on to claim the WBC Under-18 European National Championship, and has been on an unstoppable trajectory ever since. Hussain steps into the ring at ONE Friday Fights with a chance to make the biggest statement of his young career.
In the co-main event, former Channel 7 and Thailand Muay Thai Champion Petmuangsri Torfunfarm takes on Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Chankrit Manop Gym in a flyweight Muay Thai contest that puts two of Thailandâs most decorated regional titleholders on a collision course.
The 22-year-old Petmuangsri trains out of TDed99 in Bangkok and brings sharp body kicking, slick footwork, and crafty clinch work to the ring. His older brotherâs experience with bullying was what drew him to Muay Thai in the first place â and he has since channeled that motivation into becoming one of the more polished technicians in his division.
Across from him, the 29-year-old Chankrit arrives from Manop Gym in Chiang Mai carrying the tools to outpoint anyone in the flyweight division. Making his ONE debut, the Bangkok-born southpaw is a relentless kicker with fast, accurate strikes from all ranges. He now looks to translate his regional accomplishments onto the world stage.
