ONE Championship returns to Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, April 24, with another exclusive card for members of The Inner Circle, streaming live at live.onefc.com.
In the headline attraction, a teenage phenom looks to build some momentum against a versatile international standout in a Muay Thai clash between rising atomweight stars.
And in the co-main event, an explosive Filipino powerhouse from the legendary Team Lakay camp meets a dangerous Mongolian finisher in a high-stakes MMA battle where the judges are unlikely to be needed.
The atomweight Muay Thai main event features Thailand’s Pet Suanluangrodyok taking on “Petsam” Nahyan Mohammed.
Pet, a 19-year-old representing Sitsarawatseur, has been nearly untouchable as of late, boasting a 51-11 record and a reputation for technical precision. The Thai native is a clinical operator who uses his range to dismantle opponents with traditional Muay Thai efficiency.
However, he faces a massive test in Mohammed, a 17-year-old phenom fighting out of Petch Muay Thai Gym. Representing France and Algeria, “Petsam” is a tall, rangy striker who carries a 33-10 record. Despite his youth, he has shown a veteran’s poise and the unique ability to use his height advantage to overwhelm opponents with long-range weapons and sharp clinch work.
The co-main event is a bantamweight MMA showdown between two of the most exciting finishers in the division, as the Philippines’ Carlo Bumina-ang faces Mongolia’s Batochir Batsaikhan.
Bumina-ang, known as “The Bull,” lives up to his moniker with a relentless, bruising style. The Team Lakay product holds a 9-2 record with a staggering 89 percent finishing rate. The Filipino is a powerhouse who blends striking with heavy ground-and-pound, and he’s always looking to end the fight from the opening bell.
Batsaikhan, meanwhile, is a sophisticated counter-threat out of Teiwaz Striking Gym. With a 6-2 record and an 83 percent finishing rate, the Mongolian standout has a knack for finding the chin. Standing 4 inches taller than Bumina-ang, he will look to use his longer frame to keep “The Bull” at bay and land the fight-ending blow as his opponent tries to close the distance.
