The Indianapolis Colts are projected to have eight picks in the 2027 NFL Draft, including two compensatory picks. They will not have a first-round pick after trading it to the New York Jets for Sauce Gardner.
The 2026 NFL draft has just wrapped up, but let's take a brief look ahead to the 2027 NFL draft, specifically how many draft picks the Indianapolis Colts are projected to have.
The Colts will once again be without a first-round pick next year after trading that selection to the New York Jets for cornerback Sauce Gardner.
Without that selection, the Colts are slated to have six picks at the moment -- one each of the other rounds. In addition to that, Over the Cap is projecting that the Colts land a pair of Day 3 compensatory picks with Kwity Paye and Nick Cross signing elsewhere, which would give Indianapolis eight picks in total.
The general consensus is that the 2027 draft class is going to be very strong.
Perhaps the big question right now is whether or not GM Chris Ballard will be making the picks for the Colts in 2027. One would think that in order to be back, the Colts have to make the playoffs this year.
