Following a 13-win season in Year 1 under Liam Coen and James Gladstone, Coen's message to the team this offseason is simple but important -- maintain a high level of urgency.
As Coen described earlier this offseason, the Jaguars are constantly searching for their edge. While Year 1 is important for establishing the foundation, "there is no year more important than Year 2," he said.
"There have been a lot of one-hit wonders," said Coen. "That's the reality. And so, what are we doing to separate ourselves to make sure that never happens? So that we take the next step as a team."
A potential catalyst for the Jaguars as they head into Year 2 can be the continuity of being in the same offensive and defensive schemes for a full offseason. Rather than implementing a new playbook on both sides of the ball, the Jaguars are able to build upon the 2025 season.
