Unlike the U.S. Open and PGA Championship, the R&A keeps a short list of future locations for the Open Championship. On Monday, April 27, the 2028 site was announced, so golf fans now know of the next three British Opens. It was just a few months ago that the 2027 Open site was announced.
The USGA has future locations for the U.S. Open announced as far out as 2051, while the PGA of America has made known the PGA Championship sites through 2034.

Just five years after its last time hosting, St. Andrews will do so for the 31st time in 2027. Cameron Smith won the 2022 Open at the Old Course, which has hosted the championship more than any other golf course. Considered the "Home of Golf," St. Andrews became an 18-hole course in 1764.
