Gallery: Cherki and Haaland sink Gunners!

Shortly after the interval, we almost restored our lead twice, as a loose ball from a corner fell at the feet of Haaland, but his snapshot clipped the outside of the post, before Jeremy Doku’s strike was gathered by Raya.

On the hour mark, it was Arsenal’s turn to strike the post as Eberechi Eze’s powerful strike cannoned off the left post, but with our next attack, Haaland made sure to get his shot between the posts, sweeping into the bottom left corner after brilliant work in the build up by Nico O’Reilly to send the Etihad into a frenzy.

The visitors looked for a way back into the game and struck the post for a second time as Gabriel’s header deflected off O’Reilly and onto the base of the right post.

We stayed focused to claim a huge victory, moving three points behind the Gunners with a game in hand to come.
