The Chicago White Sox aim for a sweep against the Los Angeles Angels, following two consecutive wins. Erick Fedde, despite a 0-3 record, starts with a solid 3.42 ERA, hoping to secure his first win of the season.

The Chicago White Sox are back at it this afternoon, looking to finish off a sweep against the Los Angeles Angels after a pair of wins to start the series. Following Mondayâs comeback and a solid 5-2 victory on Tuesday, the South Siders suddenly have a chance to stack three straight and keep a little momentum rolling.
It hasnât exactly been smooth sailing so far, but this mini-run of going 7-4 over their last 11 has at least offered a glimpse of something more watchable. The lineup has shown better at-bats, and the pitching has mostly held things together. Now comes the tricky part: finishing the job.
Todayâs matinee features veteran righthander Erick Fedde, who has pitched better than his 0-3 record suggests. With a 3.42 ERA and 1.14 WHIP, Fedde has given the Sox a chance to compete most times out, even if the win column hasnât reflected it yet. Heâs been relatively efficient and has avoided major blowouts, which, given how things have gone at times, counts as a positive. If thereâs a next step, itâs going deeper into games and finally picking up that first win. Against an Angels lineup that can be inconsistent, this should be an opportunity to get it.
Hereâs how the Angels will run out against Fedde.
On the other side, Yusei Kikuchi will try to get on track for the Angels. Like Fedde, heâs still searching for his first win of the season, but the path there has been a bit bumpier. Kikuchi enters at 0-3 with a 6.21 ERA and 1.59 WHIP, and heâs had trouble limiting traffic and keeping runs off the board.
Erick Fedde currently has a 0-3 record and a 3.42 ERA.
The White Sox have gone 7-4 over their last 11 games.
The White Sox have a good chance to win today, aiming for a sweep after two victories and facing an inconsistent Angels lineup.
