The Dallas Cowboys have been rumored to explore a trade involving their star wide receiver George Pickens.
The 25-year-old recently signed a one-year, $27 million franchise tag tender with the Cowboys, but he’s seeking a long-term deal that the organization doesn’t seem content with rewarding him with after one stellar season. As a result, Pickens found himself linked to trades involving organizations such as the Baltimore Ravens and the Los Angeles Chargers.
Unfortunately for them, though, it appears that Pickens isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
“Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones today on Mad Dog Radio again said they have “zero interest” in trading George Pickens,” The Athletic’s Jon Machota reported on X/Twitter Tuesday.
“Jones also said they have not been told if Pickens will be at all mandatory portions of the offseason program.”
The Ravens desperately need to pair with a dynamic and strong-handed WR before the start of the 2026-27 NFL season. Pickens would undoubtedly be a viable option, as his outstanding ball-tracking and body adjustment chops have helped him blossom into one of the league’s premier receivers.
George Pickens is not being traded because the Dallas Cowboys have decided to keep him, despite rumors linking him to the Ravens and Chargers.

Pickens finished his first season in Dallas with 93 receptions for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns in 17 games. Likewise, it was evident that the Chargers needed to add another explosive receiver after their horrid offensive showing in their AFC Wild Card contest vs. the New England Patriots (they mustered only 3 points).
Pickens would provide Los Angeles with a significant spark in that department, but again, a trade doesn’t seem imminent at this time.
