The Dawgs continue to bark at their 2027 recruiting class as they’ve landed a commitment from the no. 2 tight end and no. 19 overall national prospect in Rivals300, Jaxon Dollar. He comes in standing 6’3 and 225 pounds and could make an immediate impact in what continues to be arguably the best tight end room in the country.
In his junior season at East Lincoln High School in Denver, North Carolina, Dollar was named the 4A/5A Player of the Year, catching 54 passes for 1,190 yards and 12 touchdowns. He played as an outside linebacker as well, notching 38 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and five sacks.
Dollar also gained interest as a basketball recruit with an offer from UIC after averaging 21 points, 10.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 3.2 steals last season.
His commitment keeps Georgia’s recruiting class in the top-10 for the 2027 cycle, even with the recent decommitment of CB Jerry Outhouse. Georgia’s 2027 class in its entirety is now made up of:
Under Kirby Smart, Georgia has had tons of success with tight ends, having seen seven from that position drafted since 2019. Those include Isaac Nauta, Charlie Woerner, Tre’ McKitty, John Fitzpatrick, Brock Bowers, and, most recently, Oscar Delp in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Coming out of their spring game ahead of the 2026-27 season, many are high on the Dawgs' current tight end room, made up of Lawson Luckie, Elyiss Williams, and Ethan Barbour, calling them the top unit in the country.
