The Georgia Bulldogs have finally landed a linebacker commit from the class of 2027. Three-star linebacker recruit Temorris Campbell Jr. announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs, according to Chad Simmons of Rivals. He chose Georgia over Nebraska, Virginia Tech, and others.
Campbell Jr. stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 210 pounds. The linebacker plays high school football for Miami Coral City High School in Opa-Locka, Florida. He transferred from St. Thomas Aquinas High School and he is the No. 57 linebacker prospect in the nation.
"It's big for me because I always wanted to go to a program like Georgia. It's a good fit for me. It's a defensive school. Defense runs everything," Campbell said about the decision. "It's just such a good fit."
Georgia gets a big win in recruiting after losing some momentum recently. They just saw five-star corner Donte Wright and three-star wide receiver Aden Sterling decommit in recent weeks, with Wright flipping to Miami.
Now, their class ranks No. 27 in the nation. They are still looking for some juice in the recruiting ranks, but there's a lot of time, and Georgia's best recruiting stretch was between late June and early July last season.
