Georgia running back Nate Frazier left the G-Day spring game with a reaggravated ankle injury after just one carry. His status for fall camp is not expected to be affected.
Georgia Bulldogs star running back Nate Frazier left the G-Day spring game after just one carry with the red team. Frazier exited with an ankle injury and did not return.
Frazier was the most notable Georgia player to suffer an injury in the spring game. In his absence, running backs Dwight Phillips, Dante Dowdell and Chauncey Bowens all stepped up.
“Precautionary. He (Nate Frazier) had an ankle injury in the last game (the Sugar Bowl loss to Ole Miss),” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said after the spring game. “He reaggravated it on the first play and we shut him down after that.”
While Frazier missing the spring game was a bummer, it does not appear that his status for fall camp would be in doubt. We'll know more over the upcoming weeks.

Frazier will have a long time to heal up before Georgia's 2026 season opener against Tennessee State on Sept. 5. The junior is a likely preseason All-SEC selection and is expected to play a big role for Georgia this fall.
Despite Frazier's departure, the red team (first-team offense) won 27-17 over the black team (first-team defense). After the game, Smart clarified that Auburn transfer edge rusher Amaris Williams did suffer an ACL injury.
