The Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball roster now stands at 11 under new coach Jarred Calhoun as 6-foot-4, 184-pound Akai Fleming is now part of the program.
The Enquirer has confirmed the transfer, which appeared on social media outlets May 6.
Fleming played in the Atlantic Coast Conference for Georgia Tech last season, starting 22 of 30 games. He averaged 10.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. From the field he shot 37.3%, going 32.9% on 3-pointers and 81.6% from the free throw line.

His high game was 20 points against Lafayette in non-conference play. In the ACC against teams the Bearcats played, Fleming has 15 points, five rebounds and two assists against then No. 21 Louisville in February. Against Clemson, he was held to four points in the regular season but had 18 points and six rebounds in the ACC tournament vs. the Tigers.
Fleming also played against future teammate Myles Colvin, finishing with nine points, three rebounds and five assists.
From Marietta, Georgia, Fleming was a four-star recruit offered by the Cincinnati Bearcats in the Wes Miller regime. Playing at Overtime Elite in Atlanta, he averaged 15.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game along with 2.1 assists. His team played against Fear of God squad Nov. 23, 2024, with Fleming scoring 21 points. , with the Miller staff visiting Overtime Elite the night before to see Abaev.
Akai Fleming averaged 10.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, shooting 37.3% from the field and 81.6% from the free throw line.
