âIâm really sorry about his injury. Iâm sending him lots of strength, and I hope he comes back stronger.
âWeâve been talking about Lamine Yamal all week, and in the end, heâs not coming.
âHeâs one of the best players in the world; his absence isnât good news for them, and, on a personal level, I wanted him to come and play here.
âBut weâre focusing on our own game. Barça are one of the best teams in the world and, without him, Iâm sure thereâll be another player to step up.â
Away from the immediate fixture, Djene also reflected on his personal inspirations growing up, revealing admiration for one of Barcelonaâs most iconic midfielders.
âWhen I started playing, I really admired Iniesta. Heâs a role model for me.
âI really like his personality and his approach to life, which is why I always say heâs one of my idols.â
Finally, the Getafe captain addressed a sensitive issue regarding racism, referencing past controversy involving Alejandro Balde.
Djene emphasised the importance of responsibility and education in tackling such incidents.
âI didnât hear about what happened, but if things like that do happen, the solution is to stop the match and report it. Itâs a matter of upbringing that starts at home.

âWe have to set an example so that this scourge disappears,â he concluded.
