Getting to know Bengals rookie Tacario 'Bobo' Davis

As the offseason continues and the NFL draft is in the rearview mirror, we continue our series getting to know the Cincinnati Bengals' draft picks. Next up is third-round pick Tacario Davis, the cornerback out of Washington.

Longest wingspan among all defensive backs in draft class

Davis certainly is not lacking for size or length. He measured in at 6-foot-3 7/8 inches and 194 pounds at the Scouting Combine and 6-foot-3 3/8 inches and 191 pounds at his Pro Day. He also checked in with a wingspan of 80 7/8 inches at the Combine and 80 1/4 inches at his Pro Day. The 80 7/8 inches put him in the 97th percentile for wingspan among defensive backs, according to Mockdraftable.

Led Pac-12 in passes defended in conference's final season before 'hiatus'

In 2023, Davis recorded 16 passes defended for the Huskies. That led the entire Pac-12. For now, he'll go down as the final season leader in the conference in that category, as the Pac-12 dissolved after every team except for Oregon State and Washington State left for other conferences. The Pac-12 is being revived this year by the two Pac-12 holdovers, five Mountain West schools and Texas State in all sports, plus Gonzaga for basketball.

Davis' production dipped during his two years in the Big Ten, combining for just 11 passes defended in 2024 and 2025. He missed six games in 2025 due to rib and hamstring injuries.

Was among fastest runners at Scouting Combine

Davis ran a 4.41 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine. That was tied for 5th among all cornerbacks in Indianapolis. Only Toriano Pride Jr. (4.32), (4.38), Chris Johnson (4.40) and Chandler Rivers (4.40) ran faster times. His track background came into play. He had a personal best of 11.11 seconds in the 100-meter dash while running track in high school.
