Giants head coach John Harbaugh has been in contact with Odell Beckham Jr. about a possible reunion, but a decision may not be made until training camp. Beckham is currently training in Arizona and preparing for the upcoming season.

New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh said he and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. have been in contact several times over the past week about a reunion. Despite the discussions, Harbaugh said the decision on whether the team would add Beckham may not come until training camp.
"Talked to Odell a lot, probably three of four times in the last week, [see] where he's at, where we're at," Harbaugh said, via ESPN, after Saturday’s Giants rookie minicamp practice. "He's in Arizona right now training and spending time with his son. The goal for right now is for him to train and get as ready as he can be. And then we'll see where we're at at that time."
Beckham, who turns 34 in November, was the No. 12 overall pick by the Giants in the 2014 NFL Draft. He spent five seasons with the franchise, winning 2014 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and making two All-Pro teams and four Pro Bowls. He also pulled down one of the more memorable touchdown catches in NFL history.
The unsigned Beckham last played during the 2024 season when he suited up for nine games with the Miami Dolphins. He played parts of three seasons after being traded by the Giants to the Cleveland Browns in 2019. After being waived during the 2021 season, he signed with the Los Angeles Rams, who went on to win Super Bowl LVI. During that game, Beckham tore his ACL for the second time in two years. He sat out the 2022 season and played with the in 2023 under Harbaugh.
John Harbaugh mentioned that he has spoken with Odell Beckham Jr. several times recently and emphasized that any reunion must be beneficial for both parties.

Beckham worked out for the Giants in April and, according to Harbaugh, "looked good." But any reunion would have to work for both sides, the new head coach added. No. 1 target Malik Nabers is returning from an ACL injury and the team's wide receiver room will also include Darius Slayton, Darnell Mooney, Calvin Austin III, and 2026 third-round draft pick Malachi Fields.
"We have just such an honest conversation about it. It's got to be right for both parties," Harbaugh said. "Odell wants to be the kind of player that can make a difference. I'm pretty sure that he can make a team in the National Football League right now. But can he make a difference and is it something he wants to do and is his body going to hold up the way he wants it to?"
