The New York Giants held their local pro day on Friday in East Rutherford, providing an opportunity to evaluate prospects with regional connections ahead of the 2026 NFL draft.
Among those in attendance were several standout players from New Jersey programs, including Rutgers tight end Kenny Fletcher and defensive back Cam Miller.
Fletcher, a 6-foot-3, 252-pound senior from Delran, N.J., transitioned from defensive line early in his Rutgers career to become a reliable tight end. In 2025, he started 10 games and recorded 26 receptions for 236 yards, including a career-high four catches for 85 yards against Penn State.
Over his career, Fletcher totaled 46 receptions for 373 yards and two touchdowns while earning a spot on the 2025 Mackey Award watch list. His versatility, having contributed as a pass rusher earlier, adds intrigue for NFL teams seeking multi-dimensional options at the position.
Miller, a 6-foot, 192-pound senior cornerback who transferred from Penn State, started all 12 games for Rutgers in 2025. He posted 47 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, seven passes defensed, and one interception, while also scoring a special teams touchdown on a blocked punt recovery.
Across his career, Miller has accumulated 103 tackles, 14 pass breakups, and five sacks, showcasing solid coverage skills and playmaking ability.
Other attendees included Rutgers quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis, who was previously reported as scheduled, along with Monmouth quarterback Derek Robertson.
Rhode Island edge rusher AJ Pena, a Montclair, N.J., native with 33 career sacks and more than 200 tackles, also participated and is viewed as a priority undrafted free agent candidate. Long snapper Anthony Zaccaro was slated for the Giants' local day as well.
The session allowed the Giants to assess local talent in a familiar setting, focusing on players who could contribute immediately on special teams or as depth pieces.
