The San Francisco Giants haven't had a very successful season so far, with a poor 8-12 record through the first 20 games of the season.
While the offense is a big issue, with just 68 runs scored, the second worst in the league, the Giants also haven't gotten nearly good enough production from their ace, Logan Webb.
After the latest game, in which Webb struggled once more, but the Giants won, Webb shared some very honest thoughts on his production recently, which NBC Sports Bay Area shared on Twitter/x.
"I feel like at this point, I'm just kind of hurting the team, to be honest," Webb said. "Lucky we scored 10... Just trying to figure it out.
While the Giants wound up winning, Webb still didn't have his best performance, and he knows it. He went six innings and got the win, but he allowed four runs for the second start in a row.
Webb's struggles this season have culminated in a 5.40 ERA, accompanied by 27 strikeouts and a 2-2 record through the first five starts of the season.
He's not pitching nearly as well as he should be, and with a shaky Giants rotation after him, his struggles have made the already questionable rotation all the more worrisome.

However, the Giants' struggles this season don't rest solely on his shoulders. Webb is owning up to his mistakes; however, he's far from the only one at fault this season.

Webb is a great pitcher still, as these early-season struggles are, hopefully, just a blip on the radar in what will be another solid season by year's end.
It's an honest self-assessment from Webb following another shaky outing. But, he's still a key member of the rotation, and should not have to feel to blame for the team's struggles this season.
