On Monday, Eluemunor took to social media after Colin Cowherd questioned his value and labeled him a âjourneymanâ during a segment about the upcoming NFL Draft.
âSo (Colin Cowherd), I donât know why youâve chosen to open your mouth about (s---) you clearly have no clue about,â Eluemunor wrote on X/Twitter. ââJourneyman(?)â Sure it was a Journey to get to where Iâm at now but I EARNED every damn penny of the contract I signed. ...
âOh and I just so Happened to be one of the BEST (right tackles) in the league last year. You have the worst takes in sports, you say dumb (s---) for views.â
YOUâRE ON THE CLOCK: BUILD YOUR OWN NFL MOCK DRAFT
All of this stemmed from Cowherdâs take on the Giantsâ decision to trade defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence to the Bengals for the No. 10 pick in the NFL Draft. During the segment, Cowherd criticized the teamâs offensive tackle situation.
âThis is not a Super Bowl team. This team needs five or six guys from this draft who can play,â Cowherd said in a clip shared on X/Twitter. âEven the areas... where their fans think, âWe are set,â like offensive tackle. Andrew Thomas, (who) canât stay on the field, (is your) left tackle. Your right tackle (Eluemunor), you probably overpaid him, heâs a journeyman. Heâll be pressed into left tackle duty at some point, and then itâll be a mess at both tackles.â
After joining the Giants on a two-year deal in March 2024, Eluemunor started all 15 games he played during his first season, splitting time between right tackle and left tackle.
