While it wasn't a pretty MLB game at Oracle Park on Sunday afternoon, the San Francisco Giants will gladly take the result.
Catcher Jesus Rodriguez's bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 12th inning gave the Giants a 7-6 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Giants have been looking for some type of spark to change the fortunes of their 2026 MLB season so far.

Spencer Horwitz slammed his sixth double this season, bringing Gonzales and Ozuna home for a 6-4 Pirates lead. The Giants, though, had something to say about that in their half of the 10th inning.
Bryce Eldridge struck out to lead off the 10th with designated runner at second base. then grounded out to shortstop with one out. Arraez moved to third base and moved up to second base.

For the homestanding Giants, they were 7-for-22 with runners in scoring position and left 16 runners on base. The Pirates were 2-for-15 with runners in scoring position and left 13 runners on base.
Adames was 3-for-6 for the Giants, while Jung Hoo Lee, Devers, Ramos, and Chapman all had two hits apiece. As a team, San Francisco totaled 13 hits against Pittsburgh's seven hits.
